Tags
Add any number of short labels to an email. Type a tag in the tag field below the email headers and press Enter to add it. Tags appear as small pills and are searchable across the inbox. Remove a tag by clicking the x next to it. Tags are saved instantly.

Notes
The note field sits below the tags row and accepts freeform text. Write anything you want: a bug description, a reminder for a colleague, or a checklist of what to verify. Notes auto-save 800 milliseconds after you stop typing, so your work is never lost.
Notes are stored in the local database and remain attached to the email until it is deleted.

How do I add a tag to an email in LocalMail.dev?
In the email metadata row, there is a small tag input field labelled '+ tag'. Type a tag name and press Enter or comma to add it. Tags appear as pills next to the email subject. Click the x on any tag to remove it. Tags are saved immediately without needing to click a save button.
How do notes work in LocalMail.dev?
Below the tag row in the email metadata area is a freeform text field. Click it and type any note about the email. Notes auto-save after 800 milliseconds of inactivity, so you never need to click a save button. Notes persist in the local database across sessions.
Can I filter emails by tag in LocalMail.dev?
Tags are visible on each email in the inbox list and in the email viewer. You can use full-text search to find emails with a specific tag name. Tag-based filtering is available via the search bar.
